About Return North
Since 2017, Return North has become the top annual career fair for matching job seekers with the right employers located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Through the Return North event, candidates and local companies have an opportunity to meet in an organic, mutually beneficial environment, and communicate freely with each other.
This year, MTEC SmartZone is pleased to have two fantastic partners who are working hard to support this event: UP Michigan Works! and Michigan Tech!
The event began within MTEC SmartZone, located in Houghton County, as an initiative to attract talented professionals to local high-tech startups. However, its recruitment potential and widespread community interest have developed the event into the only U.P. wide, talent recruiting event.
Return North offers a path towards revitalizing the workforce & working opportunities in the Upper Peninsula, boasting a healthy, continuously growing list of more than 40+ impactful Northern Michigan companies (with notably increased interest generated from its success every year). Return North continues welcome feedback as the event evolves to meet job seeker and employer needs, and continues to serve as a key player in talent attraction and retention here in the Yoop.
